Education in the liberal arts and basic science for a broad perspective
In order to survive in today’s knowledge society, one needs to develop comprehensive living skills in addition to acquiring technical knowledge. Therefore, the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Sciences strives to nurture human resources with highly developed problem solving skills through basic education aimed at developing a wide perspective and a keen sense of judgment, as well as abilities in the fields of internationalization and the information society, and through fundamental education aimed at nurturing practical abilities supported by basic knowledge.
Furthermore, in addition to promotion of educational reforms throughout the entire university through the establishment of the Higher Education Development Center, we are using our Extension Center to contribute to our region as an open university.
