Foreign Languages

[English] The world is fast becoming computerized and globalized, and Japan needs to keep up. To that end, we have a new English curriculum where Japanese and native speakers of English combine to help students improve their ability to use English practically. In addition to brushing up on their basic English skills and striving to acquire applicable reading and listening comprehension skills, students also further their understanding of about British and American cultural and social matters as a background to put the language in better context.

[Other Languages] Osaka Prefecture University is pleased to offer students the option of studying languages other than English. Student numbers are kept small in each class so as to maximize each student’s chance of learning the basics in their choice of German, French, Chinese, Korean and Russian.
